He graduated with honors/Manga Cum Laude in 1995. He then completed a 3 year postgraduate training residency under the direction of Dr. Charles Raye at the Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency in Pueblo, Colorado. After nearly 14 years of college and postgraduate training, he then completed his board certification in family medicine and began active practice in family medicine in 1998.

When not practicing medicine, he enjoys many sporting activities in the great outdoors of Colorado and spending time with his children.
